Obituary Report

Bro Cary Kemp, October 2, 2015

Since last October, we have joyfully anticipated gathering together again this year for the association. As we have enjoyed the wonderful fellowship thus far, we are also reminded of those 48 beloved brothers and sisters who are absent from our presence this session. Although we miss our brothers and sisters who have finished their earthly course, we are made to rejoice at the thought of the glory and bliss which they are now enjoying. In 1 Thessalonians 4:13, Paul says, “But I would not have you ignorant brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.” We do know that at the present time, we are separated from these dear loved ones, but soon we also shall be making that final crossing over into that glorious land of promise where we will join in that great multitude, singing and shouting praises unto our God. John, in Revelation, gives us only a small glimpse of what awaits those that have been washed in the blood of the Lamb. Paul says in 1 Cortinthians 2:9, “But it is written, eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.” Our departed brothers and sisters are no longer looking through a glass darkly, but now have seen face to face our great Savior and the glorious place that He has prepared for us. May we that are left behind remember their godly works and ever “contend for the faith, which was once delivered to the saints.” It is with a grateful and humble heart that we submit this report in honor and memory of these beloved brothers and sister in the Lord.

Respectfully submitted,
